went to hong kong & Macau for 8 days 7 nights. I really think that the transportation & the food there is expensive! I spend nearly S $ 60 on transportation for the 8 days! HK is a shopping paradise! Me & my sis really bought alot of things there, & in the end both of our luggage exceed the 20 kg limit. our total luggage (mine + hers') was 42.2 kg! luckily the counter staff juz said dun bring so much things next time. =p
the boots there are cheap! I bought 2 pairs of boots, each pair cost around S $10 only~
the weather there are quite windy & cold. 19°C to 23°C. have to wear long sleeve top or a jacket everyday.
For shopping, we went to 鴨寮街, ladies market, fa yuen street, temple street, tai yuen street (alot of shoes shop & it's cheap!), Jardine's bazaar & crescent, jia lian wei lao dao, Li yuen st east & west, taipo market & pei ho st. No wonder our luggage exceed the limit. heez.
For sight-seeing in HK, we went to Disneyland, 南丫島 (Lamma Island), 赤柱市 (stanley), 世界之窗 (window of the world 深圳), the peak, 香港杜莎夫人蠟像館 (Madam Tussaud's HK), 金紫荊廣場, 大埔墟 & avenues of star 星光大道.
We only stayed one day at macau, so we only visited 葡萄酒博物馆 (and we get to try the wine!),
coz we dunno how to speak cantonese, I find it difficult to communicate with the pple there. I think only those who are working in service line knows how to speak & understand Eng. Most of the time when we ask for direction, we still have to speak chinese, then they will explain to us in cantonese. & in Macau, apart from those service line de (hotel / visitor information), think can only speak chinese. they dun really understand Eng.
